The Quiet Power of Building for Women, with Women

At Endless, building for women with women isn't a marketing position — it's structural. Rosie Gunn on what changes when the people making product decisions are also the users.

At Endless, my personal mission is to empower women in every possible way.

From our team culture to the wider community, that empowerment is the crux of the business. Our model is designed to help women feel confident and their most authentic selves in the clothes they wear.

But for a long time, I wasn't applying that principle to myself.

I've been building Endless for a while now. But one thing I hadn't done much of was show up as the face of it.

So many people suggested I become "the face of the brand" and I had resisted it. I saw it as yet another thing to manage. The early stages take enormous energy, and I had a million other things to prioritise: building strong foundations for scale, hiring the right early team, creating the formulas to sustain our trajectory.

I watched other female founders grow a lot by becoming more visible - but I always wanted Endless to be community-first, and not about me.

But something shifted. And I decided the time was now.

The ENDLESS ENERGY campaign was part of that shift.

I wanted to create something around the fact that womanhood isn't one-dimensional, and the Endless woman isn't either. Powerful isn't seasonal. At Endless, we believe that lifting each other up as women is where the true power lies.

Fashion comes and goes. But energy is Endless.

Our campaign starred our Endless OGs - and also THE iconic Caroline Labouchere. Because energy is ageless. We love everything she stands for, the way she moves through the world, the way her presence shifts a room. She is exactly the kind of woman we want Endless to speak to, celebrate, and be worn by.

Hiring has been one of the biggest learning curves of my founder journey.

I've built teams twice now - in the UK, and again in the UAE - and the patterns that emerge become very clear over time.

Everything comes back to two things: the tiniest red and green flags are there from the start. And how I feel - real gut instinct, beyond what's written on paper.

Honesty, integrity, humility. Willingness to muck in and genuine work ethic. Resilience and grit. Cultural alignment - do they truly get what we're building? Are they hungry to learn?

If all of those things are present and the gut says yes, that's a hire.

The women who have joined me in building Endless have brought judgement I don't have. Skills I don't have. Working styles that complement mine and, when we get it right, improve it.

Every meaningful jump this business has made has been because someone on the team was willing to take the lead on a problem I either couldn't see, couldn't solve, or didn't have time for.

What I've learnt from building for women, with women, is that you can't separate the two.

When the people making decisions about the product are women themselves - women who wear the dresses to events, who have tried to find the right thing on short notice, who understand what it actually means to feel right in an outfit - the decisions come out differently. Not better in a general sense. Better in a specific sense. Better for the woman using the platform.

The quiet part of this is that it doesn't need to be announced. It shows up in the photography. In the way the platform communicates. In the events, the community, the team culture, the campaigns.

You feel it when it's there. You feel its absence when it isn't.

The women who use Endless can tell the difference, even if they'd struggle to say exactly why. That's the whole point.
